Street Hero is a multiplayer interactive game that hundreds of people can engage in simultaneously using mobile phones.
It was shown at IAC Building’s 120ft wide and 10ft tall video wall.
Each player will be assigned a unique avatar like a little character or a balloon that fights on the crazy big screen, inducing chaos and lots of fun.
Players can control their characters by press the button, and the screen will flash once for the first time they pick up a fruit.
So now they can throw fruits by shaking their phone:
or punch on the stage:
You may be a balloon, the first time you login, your balloon would become bigger to help you find yourself:
And when it’s ready to fire a fruit:
It may be a pineapple, a banana or a watermelon:
The game is designed and coded in Unity.
For back-end, I host a node-server on the Internet. So every time people login the link, they will be assigned an character and redirected to the corresponding page. And everyone communicate with the server through socket.IO.
We designed hundreds of characters.
